The people accountable
for the registry.
A shared registry is only as trustworthy as the people who govern it. This page sets out who built Super Save Protocol, what they have built before, and the standard they hold themselves to.
Baljit Singh ‘Bal’ Bhandal
Founder & Chief Architect · Super Save Protocol
Bal Bhandal is a British-born entrepreneur of Punjabi heritage. His commercial record spans more than forty years across the UK drinks trade and distribution, luxury property, international automotive and marine transactions, and financial infrastructure.
He entered commerce in the early 1980s in the alcohol sector — a competitive, margin-driven trade — working across take-home retail and on-trade channels. It produced a practical working knowledge of pricing, procurement, stock, supply chains, distribution and cash discipline that shaped everything after it.
By the mid-1990s he moved into substantially larger property and international commercial work. The method did not change; only the scale did. The architecture now implemented as Super Save Protocol came out of the same instinct: find the control that is missing, and build it so it holds up when someone hostile examines it.

Updown Court
Acquired a long-derelict, fire-damaged site and directed its redevelopment with Arizona architect John B. Scholz. The finished house ran to 103 rooms across 58 acres of gardens and mature woodland. The 2007 Guinness publication identified it as the most expensive country house of its time.

The Double Bay

Super Save Protocol
Super Save Protocol Ltd was incorporated on 3 August 2026. The EU trade mark is registered and the defensive publication is published; the UK patent application is filed and under examination. The first working multi-domain implementation was built with RankFirst Technologies.
first implementation
Four rules that survived every business he built.
See value before consensus
Identify an overlooked asset, a market dislocation or a structural weakness before it becomes obvious to everyone else.
Assemble capability
Combine commercial direction with the specialist architecture, engineering, legal, property or institutional expertise the work actually requires.
Own the consequence
Measure the work by whether the asset, transaction or system survives the difficult operational middle — not by how it looked at the start.
Preserve evidence
Claims must be classified, authority explicit, and supporting records able to survive hostile scrutiny. It is the same discipline the registry now applies to documents.
Verify first. Admit second. Record always.
Nine years of karate became an operating code
Between the ages of 10 and 19 Bal trained in Ishinryu and Ren-Shin-Kai karate, under influences including Ishinryu founder Mr Ticky Donovan OBE, 10th Dan, and Ren-Shin-Kai founder Dicky Wu. His record includes National Kata Champion and English National Kumite Champion, representing the English Karate Team in international competition. He attained 3rd Dan.
What carried into business was the code rather than the trophies: train repeatedly and accept no shortcut, filter distraction and execute precisely under pressure, read the system several moves ahead, treat counterparties with honour while protecting the boundary, and stay true to the mission when the path becomes costly.
Seven years away from business, by choice
After his father Sohan Singh Bhandal died in late 2016, Bal became the full-time sole carer for his mother, Amar Kaur Bhandal. Relief care was offered and declined, because familiarity mattered more. He cared for her until she died in June 2023, aged 97, with her son beside her.
Amar Kaur was born in Punjab in the 1920s, came to Britain in 1960 and was married for 73 years. In Sikh tradition, selfless service without expectation of reward is Sewa. Those seven years are part of the founder's record for a reason: they explain the willingness to carry something difficult for a long time without an audience.
